Snow apple turnips are not your average turnips! They are great for fresh eating—believe me! Super juicy and sweet on the inside with just a little bit of spicy bite in the peel (you can peel for kiddos and just fed them the sweet flesh), a little bit similar to jicama...

I know, two soup recipes, but hey, it’s that time of year and I came across this one calling for snow apple turnips (a new one in a soup for me) AND was inspired as I made my first batch of salmon head stock this year—maybe you did too?! If you don’t have salmon stock,...

Snow apple turnips are a superior variety of salad or fresh eating turnip. Unlike the hearty winter root vegetable we usually think of, these babies are super tender, juicy, almost sweet and just a hint spicy. I peel them and eat them like an apple, but you can throw t...
